In the Sky Layout

Hello Everybody!

I had to make this layout because I was so inspired by the sketch over at Let's Scrap.

Here is the sketch.  I used the Silhouette machine to do the globe with the airplane.  And I used regular beige cardstock for that and inked it up with distress inks and the gold and silver Vivo paint.

While we were on a plane going to Bergamo, Italy the flight attendants were selling lottery tickets and perfume!

Thanks for stopping by!  Until next time my friends...Luck be a lady! ;)

Sunshine Inspiration

Hello Everybody!

How is everyone doing on the New Year's Resolutions?  Do you make resolutions?  I have a couple-1. To use more glitter!  and 2. To make more things to blog about!  I looked at the blog posts for last year and the years before.  Last year was a little low so I am going to work toward blogging more.

So I didn't use glitter but I did use an image from a Day for Daisies digi stamp.  And I used watercolor crayons from Stampin Up that a friend of mine gave me.  Yay!  And it was a lot of fun to watercolor this image.

The sentiment is from Fun Stampers Journey and the polka dots on the reddish strip are from a Stampin Up stamp.  (I'm proud of myself for that.  Otherwise that paper would be plain.)

This card was inspired by the challenge at {Pin}spirational Challenges.  Here is the picture inspiration #157:

The background paper was totally inspired by this picture.  It came from Hobby Lobby.  :)

There is still time to play!  Thanks for stopping by!  Until next time my friends...stay warm-brrrr!

Thank You Card

Hello Everybody!

I am so excited to show you my first Thank you card for 2016.  You can never have too many thank you cards to begin with but in the last few weeks I have had some super special people help me out and I must say thank you!  I used to be able to make people cards sort of specialized to that person (or what I think that person might like).  But within the last couple of years time is sparse so just being able to get a person a thank you card is a big deal.

I am happy to say this is sort of customized to one of the super special people.  :)

The background paper is from American Crafts and it had the handwriting on it.  I inked it up with some distress ink (blues and greens from Tim H).  Then I stamped in mowed lawn in the corner using a stamp from Stampers Anonymous.  The Thanks is a Tim H flashcard.  The swirls are a stamp from Heidi Grace that a friend gave to me (thank you!).  And the stars were already blue and green and I used my mini stapler to put the lace one.  Oh!  And I used vintage photo around the edges.

I would like to enter this card into the following challenges:

Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge: Something New--I made 3 gold pearls above the Thanks using Faber-Castell gold gel liners.  Here is the picture so you can see.  I just bought these because I need one more gold medium--lol ;)

Whew!  This is a bit of a lengthy post.  If you made it this far-thank you!  And hugs! :)  Until next time my friends....stay creative! :)

Adventure Tag

Hello Everybody!

How is the New Year going for you?  So far so good here-especially with a little crafty time!

I created this tag with Dylusions spray and a stamp from Brett Weldele (Stampers Anonymous).  I love this stamp set but didn't know what to do so I just started spraying and stamping and coloring in with Copic markers. :)

Over at The Male Room the challenge is anything goes as long as it is masculine.

Thank you for stopping by!  Until next time my friends...Adventure Awaits! ;)

Happy New Year!

Hello My Friends!

Long time no see!  And now it is a New Year!  Happy 2016!  I hope everyone had wonderful Holidays!  I did and enjoyed family and friends and running around like crazy trying to make sure I had everything for that deadline of December 25th!  Ah!  :)  But I made it.  As I am sure you all did too.  :)

Now onto crafty things!  It's a whole new year of monthly challenges from House of Cards!  And this month the challenge is to use Embossing and/or this Color Challenge:

I decided to go with embossing and maybe get a jump start on Valentine's Day!  :)  I used an embossing plate and embossing powder for those hearts!  :)

So be sure to come join us!  Until next time my friends....Happy New Year!
